Our Testing Process
- Installation & Setup: We install each tool from scratch on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
- Daily Use (2+ weeks): We use the tool as a primary daily driver.
- Benchmarking: Standardized tests (speed tests for VPNs, fill accuracy for password managers, etc.).
- Policy Review: We read privacy policies, terms of service, and audit reports in full.
- Scoring: Sub-scores assigned, total calculated using the formula.
- Independent Review: Written by a separate team member.

Affiliate partnerships never influence product rankings or scores. Scores are reviewed quarterly.
